Improvement opportunities identified and actioned

 
 
Regardless of which method is used to identify improvement opportunities, it is essential to then address the issue. How this is done will depend on the type and level of improvement or change required. The following options are available:
• Discuss the feedback with the practitioner and also get their perspective
• Agree on improvement strategies to overcome the issues for future learning programs
• Identify any support or professional development required to assist the practitioner to reach the desired standard of performance
• Terminate the practitioner’s services using organisational and legislative procedures, depending on the severity of the matter
It is important that review periods are included with timeframes and responsibilities allocated for resulting action items. All parties need to agree to these points especially for the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
